meet Efosa

we had a weekend of late nights and sleepovers. one involving 3 desserts of extremely high sugar counts, which gets efosa really really going. like dancing on chairs sort of going. hahaha it took a while to get to know the girls, but looking back, im so grateful we go to know each other. them african sisters really bring out my crazy loud side (which i looooveee) - specially when it comes to dancing. oh mai days, you should see how they've taught me to wiggle and shimmy and do the leg skank. im offiically a blackenese. hahaha a word invented by miss Bertha Banda. i leave you here with some shots of Efosa, who tho looking very docile and shy in these pictures is actually the total opposite of them. this girl adds joy to our lives. she really does.

gotta love field trips

went exploring the whole of shoreditch area today as part of our field trip. i think im in love with that area now. so many things to see. so many things to discover. hidden gems of artsy shops. spitafields flea market. boxpark outlets. although it was insanely tiring, the weather made up for it. oh hello march and spring! cant wait to get back there again. copious amount of images waiting to be posted but i think i shall wait till im not too knackered to actually describe our day in detail.

quiet lights

After a flurry of social happenings these last two weeks, it seems only right to spend a night like this. huddle under the duvet, Olivia Ong playing in the background and soon to be engrossed in My Sister's Keeper. Not that I'm complaining about the activities, they have been one of the most enjoyable holidays I've had here.

Guessing that its actually the absence of having to travel somewhere. I'm beginning to see the appeal of ordinary simple things like cooking dinner together every night, birthday celebrations in the house, Christmas shopping and wrapping, late night poker games, grocery shopping with friends in the middle of the night, impromptu sleepovers, watching movies and not finishing them because we end up falling asleep. Just good time spent with people that matter to you.

then again, maybe I'm just getting older. hahah. its the new year after all.  Merry 2012 all  :D
