the art of jim denevan

its a thing of beauty isn't it? and the beauty is in the scale. Just the other day, we were walking through LDF's exhibition at the V&A where they highlighted various works that were selected because of the scale of the projects. One of them (Dalton Ghetti) involved carving out alphabets from the tip of the pencil lead. And then I remembered Andrew showing me an artist who made his living by carving out sculptures on grains of rice. literally each grain. it just blows my mind thinking about it. :D
